PARTS OF PLANTS
Every plant has different parts that help it grow and survive. Let's take look at the some of thee most important ones:
1. Root: The roots of a plant are like straws that help plant to drink water and take in nutrients from he soil. They are usually hidden underground but you might be able to see some of them sticking out of the soil.
2. Stem: The stem is like the plant's backbone. It helps to support the plant and hold up its leaves and flowers. Some stems are straight and tall, while others are curly or twisty.
3. Leaves: Leaves are the green part of the plant that stick out from the stem. They help the plant make food through the process called photosynthesis. They also breath in air and release oxygen, just like we do!
4. Flowers: Flowers are the colorful and beautiful part of a plant. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be different colors. Flower help plants make seeds so that they can grow new plants.
5. Fruits: Fruits are sometimes produced by plants after flowers. They comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors. Some fruits are sweet like, apples and oranges, while others are sour, like lemon.
